Jason- I never had the privilege of meeting you as a grown up.  I met you once when you were just a kid.  I knew your brother Curt.  To the family of Jason:  Went to Washington this past week and made it a point to go over to Arlington to say a prayer for your family.  My heart still goes out to yall and I am deeply grateful for all that Jason did for all of us.

Thinking of you today, Jason, and remembering your sacrifice.  Knowing how proud you were to be in the USAF and serve your Country makes it a little easier for me.  You were remembered and honored so well Saturday with the first fundraiser for your scholarship fund by your many friends, family members and coummunity as a whole.  Am off now to a County Memorial Service.  Love and miss you always.  Love, Mom

The President announced tonight that Osama Bin Laden had been killed by a small group of US military special forces.  How fitting that it was on your birthday!  What a great birthday present for you, Bro!  Happy birthday, again.  Love, Curt

Jason, today marks 7 years since that fatal helicopter crash that took you from us.  Some days it feels like it was a lifetime ago, other days it feels like it happened yesterday.

You were always so loving and caring and devoted.  Also, you were so mischievous, witty and devilish.  All these traits made you the person everyone loved.

I am so proud of you and what you did in your short life.  More than some of us in a much longer life-span.

You will ALWAYS remain in my heart.

Love you, Mom.

I am a Air Force ROTC cadet and I will be commissioning as a 2Lt in May. Recently I went to a conference and bought a KIA bracelet. I am wearing the KIA bracelet that has Staff SGT Jason Hicks name on it. I never knew him but I will always remember and honor him. I never take the bracelet off and where ever I go in my career and life I will bring him with me. God Bless
